Brookside Big Local Elected Chairperson


The Brookside Big Local partnership would like to announce that Barry Wade and John Trubshaw have been elected as joint Chair of the Brookside Big Local partnership.

Both, Barry and John are active volunteers in our community and will enhance the aims of our Brookside Big Local Plan.

A formal vote took place at the Partnership Decision Making Meeting on Tuesday 9th February 2016 leading to a tie in votes between both candidates.

Big Bang 2015

The Brookside Big Bang Event went off this year arranged by Tina and Steve as part of the Big Local initiative.
Lots of time and planning went into the event and i think you'll agree that it was well worth it.

Brookside Big Local Coordinator

Brookside Big Local Coordinator

Part-time 30 hours per week (to include evening/weekend/unsociable hours)

Salary:  Circa £28,000 pro rata

3 year contract following successful completion of 6 month probationary period  

Big Local is an exciting opportunity for residents in 150 areas around England to use at least £1m to make a massive and lasting positive difference to their communities. It’s about bringing together all the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make their area an even better place to live.

Brookside Big Local is seeking an enthusiastic person with good organisational abilities and communication skills to coordinate the delivery of their resident led community plan.  

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience of working or volunteering with excluded groups and a variety of partner organisations. They should be able to prepare and deliver reports, represent the partnership at a local and national level and have experience of delivering successful community initiatives.  They should also be confident with using social media and have good IT skills and   experience in grant / loan applications and project development and monitoring.
